SKETCH: The Real Cause of Kerry's Comment

So really, Kerry wasn’t calling the troops dumb, he was suggesting that we need to use torture in education as well as interrogation.

UPDATE: My handwriting sucks, as does my grammar planning. (Perhaps I shouldn’t make the “I’m going to draw this comic with a pen” commitment.)

What it’s supposed to say is: “That, young Johnny Kerry, is what students who don’t apply themselves get stuck in.” Also, it’s supposed to be the office of a school’s Headmaster, and that device is supposed to be “a rack.”

And that’s funny because it sure sounds like that’s what Kerry said. And because I’ve completely twisted the controversy. And because little Johnny Kerry has a really long face.
